Do you love working with families and children? Helping them celebrate a special day and making sure their party is a great success is part of this position. We are looking for outgoing, cheerful people that know how to make people feel welcome, set up and clean up a party area, serve food on time and keep the party on a schedule. You must be at least 16 years of age, have reliable transportation, be willing to work nights and weekends along with holidays. If this sounds like a fun job, you might be the person for this position! The ability to roller skate is a bonus but not a requirement.
If you think working in a skate room of a roller rink isn’t challenging, think again! Working with all ages to get the right fit of skate is the first step to our Guests having a wonderful skating experience at Great United Skates. This position helps keep the rink safe by checking the skates for loose wheels or toe stops and making sure there’s nothing wrong with the skate that could cause an accident. Keeping our brand new skate inventory in shape and organized is a priority. You must be at least 16 years old and being able to skate is not a requirement but makes all our positions more fun. We work mainly nights, weekends and holidays.
Roller skates and roller rinks need someone that is handy. Many times a retired skater loves doing this job that involves keeping the rental inventory in tip top shape and fixing minor repairs around the rink. If you are skilled in skate repairs and maintenance we would love to talk to you! Ability to skate is not required but more fun if you do.
Floor Hosts watch over the skaters out on the floor and make sure everyone is safe and following the rules of the rink. Being an excellent skater is part of this position. Being cheerful and able to talk to skaters of all ages is a must and keeping a level, cool head in case of emergency is important. First Aid/CPR training is a bonus. Floor Hosts will work as a team and listen for instructions from the managers on duty. You will be asked to skate for this position and must have your own skates or talk to the manager about getting your own skates.
Great people skills and attention to detail are important assets for this position. You will be our Guests first contact and we want them to have a great experience from the ticket window to the last goodbye as they leave Great United Skates. You must be able to use a POS system, make accurate change and balance your drawer at the end of the session. Knowledge about every area of the rink is important to be able to answer questions and give direction to our guests. A love of families and children is paramount. This position is for ages 18 and up and you must have reliable transportation and be able to show up early enough to be at your post on time.
Laser Tag is fast paced and fun for all ages! Our Guests are celebrating birthday parties, roller skating at our public sessions or just coming in for some laser tag games. This person is in charge of setting up the teams, getting them geared up and running this part of the facility. Keeping people on time and moving the games along. You must be at least 16 years of age and have reliable transportation. Prior experience helpful but not totally necessary, we can train. If you are outgoing, cheerful and love people this might be the place for you!
